The video work STILL consist of 60 minutes of super slow motion recordings of an elderly woman’s daily life. 

By filming 1000 frames per second two recorded seconds become 80 film seconds. It is like watching a sunset or a lunar eclipse: You cannot immediately see the movement, but you know it is there.

Contrary to the normal use of slow motion the depicted situations are far from dramatic. There are no explosions or falling persons, there is a hand that reaches for a fork and a couple of feet that walks across a beautiful rug. The slowness and the level of textural detail creates a tension between the abstract and recognisable.

Seemingly completely unimportant moments are extended in time and are thereby transformed into something monumental and otherworldly. 

During the screening at Charlottenborg ten contemporary musicians were performing a new composition by Anders Filipsen.
